Combo e.Tag Located
We've located a combo tag for animals, which meets the needs of producers in large setups. Tag technology, design, and research are gaining momentum to keep pace with global needs.
 | This Combo e.Tag will include the electronic chip/transponder moulded within the large or XL plastic panel dangle front. This feature provides ease of on-farm identification from panels in both ears, front and back. Because 90% of cattle are managed from the front, these tags provide ease of visibility and on-farm management. |
A relatively new product, this
tag should be available on an optional basis in both large and XL
sizes, with or without the on-farm management numbers. The proposed
tags must be tested for reading capability, durability, and
retention as required by CLIA, CCIA, and CFIA standards. Given the
Combo e.Tag is manufactured elsewhere, a number of details must be
addressed—taggers, ordering, and distribution. Therefore, it may
take up to six months before they can be used within Canada on a
national basis.
